DILAN (Digital Language and Communication Training for EU Scientists) is a European project funded by the European Commission under the Erasmus+ Programme. Its main objective is to improve scientists’ ability to communicate their research results beyond the specialised community, reaching diverse audiences and society at large.

Objetivos y enfoque del proyecto

The European Union has identified public communication of science as a key societal priority. In response, DILAN contributes to the digital transformation of research human resources, providing innovative training solutions aimed at improving scientific communication in digital environments.

The project includes the development of:

• Digital resources and training materials
• Specialised online training courses
• A MOOC based on innovative teaching and learning practices

DILAN supports the European scientific community, with a specific focus on women researchers, enhancing their resilience and capacity to communicate effectively in Web 2.0 environments.

The resources developed within DILAN are designed for both STEM and non-STEM disciplines and promote:

• Civic engagement and social responsibility
• The democratisation of science
• Key European Union values such as multilingualism, digital literacy, lifelong learning, and citizens’ scientific literacy
